Your link connects to the event you signed up for, and provides everyone you invite an automatic $5.00 discount.
8minuteDating.com tallies the number of people who sign up for the event you signed up for after clicking your link or pasting the link into their browser.
- If 3 people have registered for the event using your link BEFORE you have been Confirmed to attend, then your credit card will not be charged.
- If 3 people have registered for the event using your link AFTER you have been Confirmed to attend, then we will issue a refund to your credit card.
For events that include a "premium" component for which 8minuteDating.com incurs a direct cost, the "free" discount applies only to the base price of the event. For example, if a event includes a charge by the venue for entertainment or appetizers, you will be charged the cost of the premium.
Your link expires on the day of the event that you signed up for.

Q: I am older than the ages listed for an event. Can I still attend?

A: We don't check IDs at the event, but we do want our participants to be "age appropriate". If most people in this group would be interested in dating someone your age, then feel free to sign up for that event!

Q: Why do some of your events have different age ranges for men and women?

A: Our research indicates that most women are comfortable with meeting men who are a few years older than themselves, and most men want to meet women who are younger than themselves. Staggered age ranges increase the chances that our participants will meet someone who they want to date. This also means that more people sign up for the events which increases the chances for everyone of making a connection.

When 8minuteDating gets started, you'll have four 8-minute one-on-one conversations with single professionals followed by a 20-minute intermission where you can mix and mingle with other singles that might have caught your eye.
